Chris wants a new, costly keyboard and is willing to use ad hoc justifications to acquire it. Amos thinks its totally reasonable which means its either totally reasonable or totally not reasonable. The conversation turns to contracting and how contracting is different than working for a product company (beyond the obvious tax implications). Chris believes that product companies only pay contractors when they absolutely have to. The main topic this week is software quality, if thats even a real thing, and if it is, how do we get more of it?
