Episode 8: SUPPORT with Leeds Dads founder Errol Murray

from The Raise Podcast with Carol Barwick · host Carol Barwick

In this week's episode, Carol speaks to Errol Murray about the Raise word SUPPORT. Leeds Dads started by founder Errol Murray who was a struggling new Dad. His daughter’s Mum had made lots of friends with other parents and he noticed that whilst there was a lot of support available for Mums in Leeds, he was left feeling isolated and excluded from activities as a Dad. He sent an email to some friends who had recently had babies and 3 other Dads agreed to meet in Leeds City Museum with their kids for a coffee and a playdate. Fast forward 12 years and Leeds Dads is a beloved charity that supports over 1,000 dads per year with their mental wellbeing. Just looking at what we achieved in 2023 makes us feel proud (and tired!)
