What happens when you're working hard, giving your best, and still not getting the opportunities you hoped for? How do you handle disappointment while keeping your faith in Jesus Christ at the center of everything? This week on Brothers on Ice, Dad sits down with Jonah, Elijah, and Solomon for one of our most faith-focused conversations yet! The boys recap their hockey weekends, and Jonah opens up about the frustration of playing well but not getting opportunities on the power play or penalty kill. We talk about respecting coaches, asking for constructive feedback, accepting correction, and learning to grow through challenges rather than becoming discouraged. But this episode goes far beyond hockey. We're diving into some important questions: How do you keep working hard when you're not getting recognized? What does it really mean to trust God's timing? How can disappointment help us develop patience, humility, and perseverance? How do we show Christ's love through our attitudes, actions, and relationships? What does the Bible teach us about handling adversity? Most importantly, what does it truly mean to follow Jesus Christ? Throughout the episode, we explore Scripture, including Proverbs 3:5–6, Colossians 3:23, James 1:2–4, Philippians 2:3–4, Romans 10:9, and Galatians 5:22–23. Our message is simple: Hockey doesn't define who we are. Jesus Christ does. Our worth isn't measured by goals, saves, ice time, or recognition. God has given us opportunities and abilities, and our responsibility is to use them to glorify Him, regardless of the outcome.
