😔There's Not Always A Silver Lining, Why Being Authentic About Your Feelings Brings Healing😔    One of the most common pieces of advice you'll hear from other people when you are struggling is to "look for the silver lining."  Especially in the self-help world.   But in today's segment, I'm discussing why not ALL of your life's experiences have a silver lining.    But why is this piece of advice the go-to?  Is it because we are afraid of our feelings?  Afraid of voicing/expressing our pain?  Is it because we are trying to hide from the realities of life?  That life has highs and lows.  Are we trying to fit the narrative of the people around us?   It's when we get comfortable with the dark that the light is the brightest.  You don't need to suppress your emotions, or your pain, to suit the needs of those around you.   Your primary responsibility is to your SELF and that means being congruent.  Faking it does not equal making it.  It can, however, suck the life out of you to live out of alignment with what you feel or believe.   And you MATTER.  Your feelings matter and so does your expression of your SELF.    It's time to transform how we view the difficulties in our lives, and in the lives of others.  It's time to be okay with the full expression of yourself because the stats tell us, clear as day, that this highlights reel we're trying to live is damaging our mental health...which in turn, is truly hurting our children.     You are resilient.  You have survived the hardest days of your life so far.  You deserve to feel free to share your "real" life experience. *This episode was originally recorded live as a video, hence the reference to YouTube.*
