After our discussion with professional comedian David Siegel in episode 66, we thought it would be interesting to speak with a D.O. urologist about what “really goes on” with a physician when a male has issues with infertility. Dr. Mené will speak about his journey into osteopathic medicine starting with a seven-year program, how he became interested in urology, and how hard work and dedication earned him the opportunity to train in Philadelphia in a competitive surgical subspecialty. He will comment on the ACGME merger and how it has made obtaining a urology residency more difficult for D.O. students. For medical students and residents interested in osteopathic school and urology residency, we would recommend more research into this; although Dr. Mené's comments may be true, we do not have data to support or refute them.
