Episode 81: Strangers - Chapter One

NEW EPISODE……WHHHHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?!?!?!!!?!??!!!! What do ‘all of us’ and a ‘train’ have in common? STRANGERS!!!! And so it comes to pass….the Watch/Skip’ers review the new horror/remake/reboot “Strangers - Chapter 1”, the first in a proposed trilogy-prequel to the cult 2008 original. This episode is dedicated to the dudes over at WildreamPod as we stole their format like strangers in the night - Emcee and Cupcake had a full slate weekend and the recording came together last minute with both hosts literally coming from their 6 PM showing and immediately recording. Hence, no Q&Alex, no Cast-Grab, don’t expect extensive research…we took it “on the fly”.  While Emcee has not-so-fond memories of the first film (Editor (Beanie): it’s a really good story. Not sure if I wanna high five Troy over at Not A Bomb or scold him. More food in my bowl or I’ll gut you Strangers-style), he and Cupcake slice and dice the Renny Harlin directed film (remember THAT guy?) starring a bunch of newcomers you’ve seen somewhere before but can’t place. Is this horror writ large and worthy of possibly pee-ing your pants from jump scares and dread or is it rancid cheese unworthy of the sniff.
