In 2007 Eduardo Valseca was living a great life with his wife Jane and their three children in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. The small town was rich in history, and their kids went to a school that they had helped set up on their 1,000 acre property. However, their lives would change forever when a highly organized group kidnapped Eduardo as he and Jane were driving home from the school. Fortunately, they left Jane behind after initially grabbing them both, but she was left to come up with their ransom for Eduardo of 8 million USD. Eduardo was subject to incredibly horrific physical and psychological torture nearly every minute of his waking hours. There was no way for Jane to come up with the money, and even with help from Federal Mexican police getting Eduardo back would be the hardest thing she would ever do.
