Episode 83. Are You Living In Poverty?

Opening Bible verse: Matthew 19:23-26 A young priest gets his first assignment in the poor part of town.  He feels he is truly doing God's work and these people need him.  He was content to stay there his whole life.  Except God has other plans.  His second assignment was out to the suburbs to the "wealthy parish". The first task was to get out there and visit the parishioners for the annual block collection.  He arrived at his first house, a sprawling home with a circular drive and doors that reminded him of Dorothy entering the Emerald City.  The lady of the house opens the door and says, "I know you don't want to be here, but there is a lot of poverty at this parish.  It's just not the poverty you are used to."   Thank you for listening to this podcast, it is no accident you are here.
