Episode #83: Sarpsborg

Today the topic is Sarpsborg. The city was Norway's capital from its founding in 1016 until 1030. In addition to this, it also has some names asuch as the Norwegian-English children's book author Roald Dahl (1916-1990) who is not only known for the books about the poor boy Charlie and his family his and many other children's books, but also a number of works he made with James Bond creator Ian Fleming (1908-1964). Henrik brings audio from the most famous of these works called "Tales Of The Unexpected: Lamb To The Slaughter". Sarpsborg was also the birthplace of the Norwegian-German Fritz Yngvar Moen (1941-2005) who was accused of two murders he did not commit in the 1970s and 1980s in Trondheim. Fritz Moen lived as if almost deaf and paralyzed in the right arm and therefore had an alibi which made him unable to commit the killings. This was the basis for what was to be one of the worst judicial murders in modern Norwegian history. In today's NRK corner we hear a funny parody of Roar Stokke. Happy listening!
