from People and Places along the Heritage Trail · host Elkhart County, Indiana

Elkhart County is a place where quality craftsmanship, innovation and collaboration result in a well crafted life. With an appreciation for all things handmade and homegrown, we leave our mark on everything we hold. Elkhart County is Well Crafted. We kick off this episode with Dave and Brock from the Elkhart Civic Theatre, located at the beautiful Bristol Opera House.  Dave and Brock share a bit about The Prom, which is the last show remaining in the 2022-2023 season. But don't fret because they share ALL the excitement about the upcoming 2023-2024 season which includes Sweeney Todd, Finding Nemo, Jr., Clue, a ECT original Well Crafted radio play and so much more! We also talk about The Michael Cripe Studio, the Elkhart Civic Theatre’s annual two-week day camps for area youth. Designed for children from 8 to 18 years of age, the Storytellers’ Theatre camp and the Musical Theatre Fast-track camp at the Bristol Opera House offer many students their first experiences on stage in a close, friendly learning environment. Then we wrap up with Jim and Amanda from the Boys and Girls Clubs of Elkhart County.  They share information on one of their FUNdraisers, BBQ & Brew Fest. This family-friendly event happens August 5 at the Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds in Goshen and features live music, a kids zone, ax throwing, movie on the big screen and of course mouth-watering burgers and brews!
