The film stars Anthony Mackie (The Falcon & the Winter Soldier) and Jamie Dornan (50 Shades of Grey) as two paramedics who find themselves dealing with a series of strange and bizzare deaths and overdoses, all seemingly related to a new designer drug known only as Synchronic. It eventually leads them to discover that the pills allow for a form of time travel, with Mackie's character Steve taking it on himself to pursue Dornan's daughter when she disappears due to the pills. The film initially premiered at Toronto International Film Festival in 2019, before being picked up by Well GO USA Entertainment for an October 2020 theatrical premiere before dropping on Netflix this weekend. It certainly is a coincidence how, despite this not being a Netflix original, it ends up having a remarkably similar premise to something Netflix put out last year during the pandemic, Project Power. The #talkintv boys break down this coincidence, along with how certain specifics of the time travel as well as the fact that this directing team are actually directing the upcoming Marvel Disney+ show Moon Knight!
