Episode 85: A Summer of Firsts

from In the Shadow of the Evening Trees · host jennanddavevonebers

We’re back after a brief hiatus, and we’re kicking things off with some firsts! This week, we share stories from our recent trip to Savannah and Hilton Head—our first time visiting both! We made the journey for a truly special occasion: a surprise birthday party for Jenn’s great aunt (and Godmother) who turned 95!  Back home, we experienced another “first”: a block party on our street! While most of the festivities were in the cul-de-sac at the end of the street, we met 3 couples who are our age with grown kids. We’d never met them in the 4 years we’ve lived here, so that was nice. We know that the political landscape is still stressful, so we thought we’d take a break from politics and didn’t bring it up once!  You can find the video version of this episode on our YouTube Channel, and please follow us on Instagram (@jenn_and_dave).  We hope you enjoy this episode, and please feel free to leave us a comment below. We would love to hear from you. The post Episode 85: A Summer of Firsts appeared first on In the Shadow of the Evening Trees.
