In this episode, Sean and Kelly talk about the future. Looking into the past 20 years+ years of teaching and looking back at how we were taught as children, what has changed? Just as our teachers prepared us for our present, how are we preparing our students? We should no longer try to prepare our students for jobs that may not be there when they enter the workforce. Instead, we should focus our preparation on how they can take advantage of the emerging technologies that are coming into existence. How are we teaching them to look out for the both the dangers and the benefits of Big Data, Machine Learning, social media and robots? What skills are we focusing on that wil lallow them to pivot and prosper in this exponentially changing world?
