Episode 87 – Leading an Innovative Foundation with Leigh Adams

Patrick talks with Leigh Adams, Executive Director of the Ausherman Family Foundation. The Ausherman Foundation serves Frederick County, Maryland, through grantmaking, community convening, and large-scale community benefit projects. Adams has more than 15 years of experience in the marketing and public relations field with a background in the nonprofit sector. At the Ausherman Family Foundation, Adams focuses on connecting organizations, streamlining the grants process and working with other nonprofit entities to develop more robust fundraising that meets the Foundation and community’s vision for the future of Frederick County. She is on the committees for the Frederick Speaker Series, YMCA’s Marketing Advisory Group, the Nonprofit Alliance, and the Foundation’s annual Nonprofit Summit. Leigh serves on Hood College’s Board of Associates and is a member of the Woman’s Giving Circle.
