Episode 88: The Black Hole (1979)

The 1970s were a transitional time for the Walt Disney Company. Both Walt and Roy had recently passed away and the studio struggled to produce many box office hits. By the end the decade, Disney knew things had to change. It needed to take bigger risks. The Black Hole was an incredibly ambitious film that set a new prosperous course for the company as it entered the 1980s. We’ll talk about the production of the film and it’s lasting impact.
