from Oy with the Terror Podcast · host Oy with the Terror Podcast
In this episode, Sandra makes scones and dreams of Ireland while Danielle reveals that she has the same fridge as Lorelai in the earlier seasons of Gilmore Girls. Then Danielle talks about Frank Abagnale Jr., the inspiration behind Catch Me if You Can, the 2002 film starring Leonard Di Caprio. Frank excelled at scams, fraud, and forgery. He preteneded to be a pilot, then a doctor, and eventually turning to cashing fake checks. Until one day he caught the attention of the FBI who offered him a deal in the form of a job to get out of prison. Later, Sandra talks about the Green Children of Woolpit. Legend has it that during the 12th century in Woolpit, England two children were found near an actual wolf pit. According to sources the children were green, and did not speak english. The story goes that Richard de Calne took both children in for a few years, and over time they lost the green tinge to their skin. Sadly the boy died at a young age, but the girl went on to live and get married. Today it is thought that these two children may have been children who lost their parents and may have been Flemish.
