Jeff Stanfield & Andy Shaver are joined by Roy Carter, owner of Carter’s Big Island in Kansas. Roy started guiding duck hunts as a teenager on his families land in 1986. Ever since then, Roy and the team at Carter’s Big Island Hunt Club have been putting resources back into the land to ensure the ducks keep coming back to their area. They discuss Roy’s start in the hunting industry, the changes to the ducks migration patterns, the challenges that come with wetland management, the ups and downs of being in the hunting industry, and his decision to get sober back in 2017.
