When you, and/or people around you always see bad in people’s act of goodness, you all end up fighting unnecessary battles. Such is the story of king Hanun and his advisers who advised him wrongly when king David extended his hand of kindness towards him because his late father - king Nahash- was kind to king David. They humiliated king David’s men who came with good tidings and ended up fighting unnecessary battle because king David was furious with them.
