Show Notes Episode 009: A conversation with Sam Pettersen, and West Side Safety Harbor StoryToday’s show was packed! We had a great interview with our friend and host of the DYM Create Podcast Sam Pettersen. We also finally announced the winner of our Day at Disney Contest!Tim was preaching in the main service at his church for the second week in a row, which made a busy week even busier! Andrew had a conversation with a woman from his church that wishes that the church would take a more progressive view on LGBTQ issues. We discussed the balance and tension of being both too progressive for some and too conservative for others. We talked about how to deal with other churches in your community who may or may not want to work with you. How do you protect the mission of your church without trampling or diminishing the mission of other churches? Can you coexist peacefully when one church doesn’t consider the ministries of others? We spent a few minutes talking with Sam Pettersen about ways to win on Instagram. He suggested that we use social media to showcase personality and not as a bulletin board. He gave great tips on the types of posts that best engage with Gen Z. We talked about ways to engage the whole church and also just reach out to students. We also found out that Sam is not much of a dancer.
