Episode 9: Agile contracting solutions

from AFLCMC Leadership Log Podcast · host AFLCMC

How do you continue to execute your mission when the work force is hampered by covid-19 lock down restrictions forcing 100 percent teleworking and their day-to-day effort relies on a legacy system that is only accessible while logged into the official network on the installation? With some agile out of the box thinking teams at both Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, and at Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts quickly developed not just one but two solutions allowing contracting professionals to do their jobs even when having to work remotely. The bottom line is that through innovative thinking a long-standing limitation was overcome and contracting actions have remained on the same historical pace allowing for full mission execution despite the forced teleworking posture. In this episode we talk with the teams who developed and implemented the creative solutions and hear how their passion for problem solving exemplifies the Air Force core value of---excellence in all we do.
