Board-certified family physician Dr. Lisa Gilbert, FAAFP, discusses how best to care for pregnant & postpartum immigrants & refugees.Dr. Gilbert is a board-certified family physician and is on faculty at the Ascension Via Christi Family Medicine Residency Program. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). After residency, she completed a fellowship in International Family Medicine and received additional certification in Tropical Medicine. She has medical experience in several countries in West Africa, along with underserved populations in Kansas. As a prolife advocate, she has served on the board of AAPLOG for over 4 years and is Chair of the Family Medicine Subsection.
