Episode 9 Change Takes Change

from Coach's Corner with Paul Ybarra · host SetFreeRecoveryCoach

There are a few things about change that are inevitable:1.Change is necessary 2.Change is scary3.Change takes real work 4.When nothing changes, nothing changesJust because we make a list of resolutions, that doesn’t mean they will magically take care of themselves. It takes a definite focus in life to make change happen. Now, what about the changes that come into our lives without our consent? Old age, death, sickness, disease, lay-off, pregnancy, divorce, car accidents, or even natural destruction? We didn’t ask for certain events and circumstances to appear before us, right? No matter how much we ask for change in our lives or not, the list above works for the change you are striving for, and for the change that just pops up!So let’s look at the taking work part… if we are a people that expect change to come with no challenges, fears, rebuttals or backbiting, (and I am talking about the fight we have in our heads) then we are truly mistaken. We’ve got to fight those thoughts out of our minds and our spirits. Paul says it this way (and I’m paraphrasing) “whatever thoughts which are overtaking you, you need to put them in your Jesus drawer and sort them out, crush the bad ones so that they come into alignment with what Christ says about them…” It’s the constant battle within ourselves that will win the fight, the hard work, the blood sweat and tears! And that in itself is going to be hard work my friend! So for now, I’ll leave this right here and touch on the other points on my upcoming blogs. And remember, I would love to connect with you on a personal level, click my social media links or email me at [email protected] and shoot me an email so we can connect. God bless you and we will see you next BlogCast!
