Episode 9: How to Get Started Homesteading with Seasoned Stewards from The Culvers

from Call To Farms · host Tim Eng and Sophia Eng | Sprinkle With Soil

In this episode, Tim and Sophie interview homestead veterans and close friends, John and Maggie Culver. They were homesteading before "homesteading was a thing" because they sought to be self-sufficient. By following regenerative farming practices for over 30 years, John and Maggie became well known in the community for being good stewards of their livestock and land. They are passionate about sharing and teaching others. This episode is a real treat as Tim and Sophie get a chance to sit down and ask them questions on how they got started and any advice they would give to new homesteaders to be successful. Maggie was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma a year ago and has been battling it through holistic practices. Although she maintains her spirits, she does need help paying for treatments.
