Nya (like Maya) Syndab (Sin-Dab) Nya Syndab is a 2020 graduate of Spelman College where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. During her time at Spelman, Nya decided to compete in local pageants for scholarships to help pay for school. While competing, Nya was inspired to create an initiative, ‘A Life Regifted,’ that supports teenagers as they cope with the divorce and separation of their parents because of her own personal experiences as a child of divorce. Nya aspires to pursue a joint career in both medicine and law to further her advocacy for health disparities namely maternal health for minorities. In addition, with Nya’s experience with competing in both the Miss America system and the Miss USA system, she looks forward to becoming a pageant/talent coach to young girls who would like to compete in pageants as well.
