Today’s episode is with the inspiring, joyful Scottish writer Lorna King. We cover everything from writing for the first time to finding yourself to the gatekeepers. A glorious episode with a wonderful human. LORNA KING Lorna is a Ghanaian-Scottish woman with a flair for writing and storytelling but was pushed back from getting into the creative industries due to the lack of proper representation. Lorna decided to study a masters in Screenwriting. I chose to study at Edinburgh Napier University. Since finishing university, she developed a short script ‘Her Midas Touch’ which was submitted to Short Circuit was shortlisted and now in development. Lorna has another short script in pre-production. She is working on a top-secret project with the director/producer Stewart Kyasimire and is a founding member of a Black theatre group who are currently writing a play together. Lorna has also been commissioned to write articles for publications and is a contributing editor for a new literary magazine called Epoch Press!
