Jeff Stanfield and Andy Shaver are joined by Greer Smith from 50 Ducks. Greer has made it his mission to recruit a new generation of waterfowl hunters by exploring ducks' and geese's migratory patterns via GPS tracking units. Through the 50 Ducks website, hunters can log in and track geo-tagged ducks and geese in almost real time. Waterfowl enthusiasts can also explore an interactive map that compiles a variety of waterfowl migration movements from different banding agencies. The guys discuss Greer’s trip to help band birds at the Jack Miner Bird Sanctuary, what’s next for 50 Ducks, his goal to get these interactive maps into more classrooms across the country, and they check in on some of the birds that were banded during Greer’s last trip to Canada.
