Episode 91: College Adventures: Bravery, Triumphs, and Wakeup Calls

from Voices for Voices® · host Founder of Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes

Can you recall your most outrageous stunt from your college years? How about that time you stood your ground even when you were the only one doing so? Join us as we chat with our audacious guest who regales us with tales of wild parties, risky pranks, and academic conquests. Hear about their harrowing experience when they were the only one brave enough to opt for a written exam over an oral one, and their close brush with the law that, thankfully, served as a wakeup call. Ever felt the chill of fear from a life-threatening situation? Our guest vividly recounts an unnerving encounter with a gun-wielding roommate and their ensuing battle with mental health. Through the ordeal, they displayed an incredible resilience - securing police escorts, moving around constantly, and finding strength in the most challenging of situations. Despite the trauma, they managed to graduate and emerge victorious, albeit with shifted dreams. Tune in to discover how this rollercoaster of a college experience shaped our guest's future and how they managed to thrive amidst chaos.#CollegeChaos #PodcastEpisode #SurvivingCollege #Resilience #CollegeAdventures #Bravery #northamerica #southamerica #europe #africa #asia #oceaniaSupport the show

The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation.
