Everywhere you look our country is being confronted with the realities of systemic injustice. These are the places and systems that exist and that operate beneath our collective conscious but which, intentionally or unintentionally, benefit some over others. In the wake of recent racial unrest and continued protests across the country, the Beyond Sunday team wants to ask an important question: What does the Bible have to say about systemic injustice? The Bible doesn’t have stories of police being arrested for murder or even of people being blatantly oppressed because of their race. But it turns out the Bible has plenty to say about God’s view of the systems that should rule our lives and how they should be carried out in the world.
