Episode 93 - 'Sexist' Citizenship Law: Modern Times Woes and Realities

from RealiTEA Podcast · host Realist

With many reports stating that Malaysia has a substantial stateless population, class backbenchers; Rushduddin, Najmuddin, Athirah and Zakkiya read that stateless children are denied education and medical care, making them easier to exploit. They're often discriminated against and can't speak up. It bothered us so much, we reached out to Mr. Wong Jia Sheng, who studied Law and educated us on the matter of interest. Bottomline here; we want to share with our fellow Gen Z Malaysians about the uneven citizenship law outlined in SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, and how best we could steer this conversation and findings further into the interest of law and policymakers so they could find a sustainable solution in the long run.  SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions #Sustainability #PeerToPeer #UnitedNations #SustainableDevelopmentGoals #17SDG #PublicRelations #CorporateCreativeAndProduction #UiTMMassComm We're on Socials!
