Twenty years ago was the release of PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: CURSE OF THE BLACK PEARL, so we decided to celebrate the anniversary by making it the topic of today's episode. John is joined by Simon and recurring special guest Tom. We talk about the production of this film—from its origins as a humble adaptation of the namesake Disney ride to the big budget Bruckheimer produced swashbuckling epic. We also spent time talking about things we liked about this film on rewatch (and some stuff we were more critical of). As a brief spoiler note, we also touched a little bit on the sequels.
