Connie Barr fikk sitt store gjennombrudd da hun som ung og uerfaren dukket opp som en av programlederne i ungdomsprogrammet Kluzz på NRK – noe som skulle vise seg å bli starten på et langt liv i TV-bransjen, både foran og bak kamera. Kluzz var en av NRKs storsatsinger i årene 1985–1988, og trakk på det meste én million seere.
