This week, the girls talk to Dr. Ruth Potee a board certified Family Physician and Addiction Medicine Physician in Massachusetts. She speaks of the shame and stigma that still surrounds addiction in the American medical system, substance abuse and the brain, the normalization and rise of alcohol use in women in the past twenty years, and how far this conversation has come in just the last three years.
