Episode #95: From The Coast To The Boot - Rick Patel

from The Patty-G Show · host Patrick D. Gremillion

This week we are grabbing a chilled glass and pouring ourselves a cold one with Rick Patel of Mid Tap BR & Tap 65! Rick is a California native, but took the leap to move down to Baton Rouge for a business opportunity. While initially beginning his career as an accountant, he jumped at the ability to move beyond the desk and venture out into the business world on his own. The first business venture he started was becoming a franchise owner of Subway in Port Allen, LA. From there he made the move back across the bridge to open his second franchised location in Denham Springs. After getting his feet wet with being a franchisee, Rick wanted something more. This led him to open Mid Tap BR on Burbank and Lee in Baton Rouge, LA. With the freedom of choosing his own menu and items to sell, Rick has found his sweet spot of being an entrepreneur. During our time throughout this episode we also discuss some lessons he's learned along the way and some valuable insights into the bar & restaurant scene. Enjoy!
