Episode 95: INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE (1989)

"You lost today, kid. But that doesn't mean you have to like it." With America in the midst of DIAL OF DESTINY fever, we decided to keep things topical for a consecutive week by discussing the third film in the series, INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE! John is once again joined by Simon and recurring special guest Tom. This is a film we all have fond memories of, so we spent a lot of time talking about this film's return to the lighter whimsy of RAIDERS; Sean Connery and the Father/Son dynamic (and the weird meta-casting in context to the Moore Bond vibes); the great prologue; the MANY goofs and gags; and discuss where this film ranks among the other Indiana Jones films. Before the film, we talked about some news of the week, including: new releases; quick RIP to Alan Arkin; ongoing labour news; recent trailers; and we also discuss what we watched this week. Tune in next week as we return to the Ridley Scott watch series to discuss WHITE SQUALL.
