Episode 95 - The Babadook

A terrifying indie horror film from Australia that made a splash at Sundance and has found worldwide acclaim.  Wiliam Friedkin, (the director of 'The Exorcist') called 'The Babadook' the scariest film he'd ever seen.  On the surface, it is a tale of a woman and her six-year old son who are haunted by a mysterious, seldom-seen monster terrorizing them at home.  The line between reality and allegory are continuously blurred in 'The Babadook'.  Is the babadook a real monster?  Is the entire film a metaphor for something else?  Andrew and Phil discuss this disturbing but highly effective chiller.
