Episode 96 - Food to FEED the Soul, NOT to BIN It

Malaysia, known for its heavenly spread from Malay, Chinese, Indian and other ethnic delicacies, has always been on the map for its unique delicacies. However, we do have one massive problem that we tend to sweep it under the rug; food wastage. Foodie Instagrammers, Maisarah, Idham, Syahmi and Sarah, invites to the table for dinner, Alvin Chen, co-founder of What a Waste, an NGO which channels excess food and fresh produce to the homeless as they try to understand the root cause of the problem. Understanding food waste is to note that it is a massive and growing global problem that has severe consequences for humans, animals, and the environment. We can help create a more just and sustainable world for the next generation by teaching young people about this issue, helping them find practical solutions, encouraging them to take meaningful individual and collective action, and setting a good example for them.
