Episode 96 - Lyric Michelle

This week's guest is Lyric Michelle.  The chicago-born, Houston raised MC got her start performing poetry and then quickly branched into creating music.  Her 2016 album, Miss Direction, garnered her awards from the Houston Press, a spot performing in the pregame festivties for the Super Bowl, and the hunger to create more. She moved out to Los Angeles where she became part of a Nike campaign, started to expand her brand into film, and linked up with Top Dawg from TDE.  She can currently be found on the project A Room Full Of Mirrors alongside Punch, Daylyt, Nick Grant, and more.  We speak with her about the creation of her debut album, what it was like growing up in Houston, working alongside the record executive responsible for Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, and Sza, what she has coming in the future, and more.
