Episode 96: Mike Williams
from Small Towns True Crimes Hosted by Tabitha, Angie, and Teresa
Mike Williams, a 31-year-old Tallahassee real-estate appraiser, disappeared on December 16, 2000, while duck hunting on Lake Seminole on the Florida–Georgia border. His boat was found abandoned, and investigators initially believed he had accidentally drowned. Because his body was never found, authorities eventually theorized that alligators had consumed his remains. This case remained a mystery for more than 17 years until his remains were discovered buried in Leon County, revealing that he had been murdered. His best friend, Brian Winchester, eventually confessed to shooting Mike and testified that Mike’s wife, Denise Williams, had helped plan the killing.
