January 2009 was the beginning of a new world in many ways for Ring of Honor. Adam Pearce had been in charge as the head booker since November of 2008, but the new year was really his opportunity to tell his story rather than finishing up the stories Gabe had started.One of those first chances came when ROH headed to Florida (a make-good for the canceled October 2008 trip) with the pair of Proving Ground events loaded with new faces, fresh match-ups, opportunity, and a look at the future of Ring of Honor in this particular main event.Plus the trip featured a little fun at Grizzly Redwood's expense (check out his interview in the archives for full details).
