Episode 97: 📊Biden Signs Infrastructure Bill, 🎟Green Bay Packers Shares For Sale
from The Market Marauder Show · host Reginald Seay
President Joe Biden signed the more than $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill into law on Monday, checking off the first piece of his party’s sprawling economic agenda. The package will put $550 billion in new funds into transportation, broadband and utilities. Biden’s signature follows years of failed efforts in Washington to overhaul physical infrastructure, improvements that advocates have said will boost the economy and create jobs. The legislation will put $110 billion into roads, bridges and other major projects. It will invest $66 billion in freight and passenger rail, including potential upgrades to Amtrak. It will direct $39 billion into public transit systems. The plan will put $65 billion into expanding broadband, a priority after the coronavirus pandemic left millions of Americans at home without effective internet access. It will also put $55 billion into improving water systems and replacing lead pipes. Lucid, which went public via a SPAC deal in July, reported it has lost $1.5 billion through the first nine months of the year. The company on Monday said it has more than 17,000 reservations for its Air sedan, up from 13,000 through the third quarter. The reservations through September represented an order book of $1.3 billion, the company said. Lucid also confirmed its 20,000 vehicle production target for next year, but said hurdles remain for achieving those plans. U.S. President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping kicked off a virtual meeting on Tuesday with a positive tone and cordial remarks. Biden said he hoped to meet face-to-face sometime and that he looked forward to a candid conversation. He said the leaders’ responsibility was to lay out where they disagreed and how they could work together toward climate goals. The Green Bay Packers on Tuesday will offer to sell $90 million of “stock” in the NFL team to help fund improvements at Lambeau Field, just the sixth time in the squad’s storied history that it has offered shares to the public. The offering of 300,000 shares will begin at 9 a.m. ET Tuesday, with a price of $300 per share, the Packers said in a statement Monday. The sale, which will run through Feb. 25, was approved in late October by the National Football League. 📚Books: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=reginald+seay&crid=XNP2FB40Q3TH&sprefix=reginald+seay%2Caps%2C232&ref=nb_sb_noss 📚 Course: https://market-marauders-complete-guides.teachable.com/p/the-complete-guide-to-cryptocurrency 📚Website: www.marketmarauders.net 🦩Twitter: @yourequest 😎Instagram: market_marauders 📧Email: [email protected] 🚧 DISCLAIMER🚧 I am not a qualified licensed investment advisor.
