Episode 97 - Māori Millionaire - The Origin Story with Te Kahukura Boynton

from Baskets Of Knowledge · host Prajesh Chhanabhai; Tane Whitehead

On this week's episode our guest speaks about how seeing the inequalities while at high school fired her up to try to make a difference. Little did she know that the difference she was about to make was going to take her on a path that has seen her impacting the lives of a lot more people than she planned. Te Kahukura Boynton is the the host and owner of Māori Millionaire, but her story starts well before she found this as her calling. In this episode we talk about her early days as a student at two very different schools, and how in the spur of a moment she chose to leave school to study Law. During her "formal" study she realised that all the informal learning that she had as a child through reading she actually had the ability to take these learnings to be able to create something for others. BUT this did not come easy, we speak about how Te Kahukura Boynton went from being broke, to tutoring a subject that she had dropped years before, to how she started her crusade to empower financial literacy for Māori. We also speak about the importance of health and well-being and how that has really shifted her life. There is also a wee insight into the Millionaire Morning routine. The knowledge that Te Kahukura Boynton put into our Basket of knowledge this week is one that you DO NOT want to miss out on!Connect with @Te Kahukura Boynton on her following socialsmaorimillionaire.comIG @maorimillionaire_ FB https://www.facebook.com/maorimillionaire/
