Growing up on a farm in rural Southland our guest this week speaks to usabout how she has navigated different paths in her life and has gotten to a place right now where she has found happiness. Happiness is a key theme of todays episode as Jess talks us through being a young person that was not sure what she wanted to study to finding a passion in science. BUT not just science for the sake of it but how science can be applied back into a real life setting. During her time studying Jess also took up a role as Residential Assistant at a University Residential College, which changed the trajectory of her life path. This is now an integral part of Jess' life, we talk about how living with young people 24/7 comes with its challenges but also its gifts. The piece of knowledge that Jess leaves us with is one that we could all embrace every single day.
