But she was no stranger to the bike. With a background in triathlon, road biking and cyclo-cross, Carolin enjoyed a successful career in Europe on the road, but it was in 2023 that she joined the Canyon gravel team, and started the season with a massive win at the UCI Gravel World Series in Spain, followed by taking the top spot at the Traka 200, and then taking 2nd at the UCI Gravel World Series. Then she came to the States with a win at Gravel Locos in Texas before heading to Unbound.
