Early life experiences are the foundation on which our attachment, connection, learning how to self-soothe, love, emotional nourishment, nurturing, nutrition, health care and security in our caregivers, the environment and ourselves are built. If there is a disruption in our early-life experiences, past hurts, comments, and unmet needs are internalised to later play out in our adult lives, often in maladaptive behaviours.
