Episode Eighty Five - Kamala As we reach the spookiest time of year, this Halloween we take a deep dive look at one of the longest running wrestling Horror gimmicks, well at least it started as horror. The Ugandan Headhunter/Cannibal/Giant depending on where James Harris was booked, Kamala grew to become one of the most legendary wrestling gimmicks of all times, and in many ways the most loved. That said the gimmick, whilst it probably wouldn't fly today, did allow for a wide range of matches, from Hulk Hogan to George Steele, Undertaker to DOink the Clown and even a member of the AEW Lockeroom! A podcast that stretches almost 30 years, and features some of the biggest names in wrestling history, this can't be called the best wrestling gimmick, in fact there are many questions about it's "roots", but ultimately Kamala developed from a mindless Horror gimmick, into something fans loved.
