April is Childhood Abuse Prevention Month and, if anything, being sheltered in place has made this a more difficult time for those who are victims of abusive families or relationships. In episode five, Katie and Jess got to sit down with a former coworker of Katie’s who is now working right at the heart of some of these issues. Dana had some valuable insight into how working in restaurants contributed to her decision to go into social work. Plus she spoke openly and honestly about how difficult it can be to notice abusive situations when public interaction is taken out of the picture.
