Episode Seven - Seeking Selkies
from The Hidden Creatures Podcast
In this episode, we journey of the coast of Northern Scotland, to the Orkney Isles to investigate stories of a shapeshifting humanoid that becomes a seal to live in the oceans. These selkies, notorious for sexual relations with people, are found throughout Orcadian folkore - but could these cryptids also be found in the seas? We also take time to look at the Hoan Kiem Turtle, in Vietnam, and the Pacific North West Tree Octopus.
