Collins is a senior scholar at the Institute for Policy Studies, where he co-edits Inequality.org. He is the author of several books including Born on Third Base, The Wealth Hoarders, and, with Bill Gates, Sr., Wealth and Our Commonwealth. He also wrote a novel of speculative fiction entitled Altar to an Erupting Sun.
