Episode Three The Historical Town of Eyrecourt

This week I took a spin over to Eyrecourt in County Galway. Once a bustling town of Industry now a quiet detail of its past.Developed into a market town by the Eyre Family who were given confiscated land during Cromwell's Reign.A patent from the Crown meant the Colonel John Eyre could erect a Castle on the Estate comprising of 30,000 acres.
