Episode Twenty: Groundbreakers

Beverly Hills Cop (1984) & Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (1967) One of the great actor-directors in cinema, Sidney Portier, was already a huge star in 1967 – but today's film is one of 3 truly terrific films from his career that year – the mind boggles. This film turned out to be the highest-grossing film in 1984 with over 300 million dollars at the box office and a soundtrack that went to number one on Billboard.
